Virginia high school named after Confederate general to change name
A Virginia high school named after a Confederate general is preparing to change its name. It was July 2015 and Stephen Spitz asked me to help them with a petition to change the name of J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, Virginia. He was hoping to name the school after Justice Thurgood Marshall who lived in the neighborhood. Now 3 years later the name officially changes on July 1st.
J.E.B. Stuart High School in Fairfax will become Justice High School on July 1, USA Today reported Friday.
